"Normal Life"?

I have been in Utah for almost three weeks! I still have no idea what normal life is going to be like... For two weeks I was in intense training for my job. I was working from 9am to 4pm M-F. Have I talked about my job yet? I LOVE IT! I am a Freshman Mentoring Peer Mentor. I get to interact with the Freshman and make sure that they are able to take full advantage of all that BYU has to offer. I am basically here for them for wahtever they need. Have I mentioned how much I love it? But as part of my job, I got the opportunity to attend NSO again. Now, last year I did not like NSO that much. Infact, I kind of despised it. Why, you ask? It was just so long! Here is the schedule from this year (which it is very similar to what we did last year) Wednesday: 10:00 a.m. On-Campus Housing Check-in 8:00 p.m. Housing Move-in Socials Per Assigned Housing Thursday: 8:30-10:00 a.m. NSO Check-in, Meet Y Group 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Convocation 12:00-1:00 p.m. Lunch 1:00-3:00 p.m. E...

One Year Down!

I have made it through finals! I took four finals today and did well on (well) most of them. I am very excited just to be done. My freshman year is officially over. All that is left to do is to pack everything up and move out! It is just crazy...I still can't believe that it is already over. A year ago, I was writing a speech for graduation. I was working at Arby's. I was just looking forward to the opportunity to leave and start over new. Now, I am done with my first year of college. Only three more years until I am a teacher...

A New Year

Yeah yeah...I know no one reads this blog, but I still should be doing a better job at keeping a blog than what I am doing. So here is to a new year! I have made it through my first semester of college. Oh what a CRAZY semester it has been! So here is a basic overview of my first semester at BYU: 1. I got pretty good grades -All A's, with one A- and one B+. I consider that good- hopefully I can keep it up this second semester as I am taking American Heritage. American Heritage is know to most Freshman as the worst class in the world. People are happy when they get over 50% on the tests. Sound like fun? Yep-that is what I am entering into. 2. I have made the most amazing friends . I am not going to deny that there has been some major drama between some people, but I still have met some of the best people I have ever met. I have been loving almost every second of my first semester because of these people. We have had some fun times having hot chocolate, tim-tam slams, and go...
